Diego Gotthelf is Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all finance matters.
For the previous six years before joining Arroyo, Mr. Gotthelf worked for Kinder Morgan based in Houston, first as Director of Business Development and Economics, responsible for all economic evaluations of all Oil and Gas acquisitions, expansions and new project developments and later as Director of Accounting responsible for all finance aspects of $850MM of gas production and transportation assets.
Mr. Gotthelf is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and also a citizen of the UK. His Finance career started in Manufacturing and Insurance in England, before joining Shell, with whom he had a 15 year expatriate career. He lived and worked all over the world in various Finance and Commercial roles spanning the whole spectrum of the Oil and Gas business: negotiating production and transportation infrastructure deals in the North Sea, CFO for the largest oil and gas producing field in Brunei, CFO and Treasurer for Shell’s Cameroon E&P company, Controller during the privatization of the gas pipeline network in Bolivia and construction of the Bolivia-Brazil pipeline, CFO for Shell’s downstream business in Togo and Benin, West Africa.
He is an alumni of the CNBA School of the University of Buenos Aires, has a BA(hons) from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, an MSc in Management Accounting Skema University in France and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the UK since 1992. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese as well as English.
