David T Field
Title - Founding Partner
Bio - David T Field co-founded Arroyo Energy in 2003 and has over 28 years of experience in the power and energy industries. He is responsible for Arroyo’s overall business development, capital formation and daily operations. To date, the Firm has invested over $1.5 billion of equity capital in the energy space. Prior to establishing Arroyo, Mr. Field was a Managing Director and Head of M+A at El Paso Merchant Energy. Mr. Field graduated from Texas Christian University with a BBA in accounting, cum laude, and received his JD, with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law.

Chuck Jordan
Title - Founding Partner
Bio - Chuck Jordan co-founded Arroyo Energy Investors with Mr. Field in 2003 and has over 24 years of experience in the power industry. Working alongside Mr. Field, Mr. Jordan directs the overall business development and daily operation and oversees transaction origination, negotiation and execution, as well as directing the commercial activities of Arroyo’s investments. Previously, Mr. Jordan developed extensive background in the domestic energy space from both a regulated and unregulated perspective while serving as a Director for Mirant Corporation, and as a Project Director for Southern Company. In this role, Mr. Jordan was part of the team that developed the initial business plan and strategy for Southern Power (a subsidiary of Southern Company with over 8,700 MW of generation today). While at Southern Company, he was one of four executives selected to participate in the firm’s two-year executive development program. The program included leadership assignments in corporate planning, trading, finance, asset development and fuels. Prior to this, Mr. Jordan was involved in all aspects of bulk power operations, trading and fleet optimization. Mr. Jordan began his career at Harris Corporation, a leader in generation dispatch control and interchange scheduling software. Mr. Jordan holds a MBA from the University of Alabama and a BS in electrical engineering from the University of South Alabama.

Rudolf Araneda
Title - Partner (Chile Office)
Bio - Mr. Araneda joined Arroyo in 2014, when Fund II was being formed, and serves as the head of the team’s office in Santiago, Chile. With more than 30 years of experience in power and energy, he is responsible for asset management, origination of off-take contracts and development of new opportunities in the South American Pacific rim countries, with a special focus on opportunities in Chile. Previously, Mr. Araneda served for 16 years as CEO of Gas Atacama, from its planning and construction stages to commercial operations. Gas Atacama owns and operates a 1,200 Km natural gas pipeline from Argentina to Chile’s Northern Grid, and two 370MW gas-fired combined-cycle facilities located in Northern Chile. Prior to Gas Atacama, Mr. Araneda served as CEO of TransAndino and Gas de Chile, a power generation, gas transport and distribution consortium formed by Tenneco, BG, five Argentine gas producers and two Chilean companies. In the decade prior to working in the energy sector, Mr. Araneda held various CEO posts in other renown Chilean companies. Mr. Araneda graduated from Universidad de Chile with a Bachelor’s degree engineering and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. Mr. Araneda is fluent in English, Spanish and German.

Felipe Pinto
Title - Managing Director
Bio - Felipe Pinto joined Arroyo in 2015 and has 16 years of experience in the power and energy industries. Prior to Arroyo, Mr. Pinto worked in the Global Commodities Group of JP Morgan supporting its Commodity Finance and Structured Product offerings. While employed there, Mr. Pinto worked alongside Arroyo’s Founding Partners with a particular emphasis on developing opportunities in South America. Previously, Mr. Pinto worked at Credit Agricole in its Latin America Credit Markets group focusing on complex structured finance transactions in the energy industry including PPA restructurings, acquisition financings and greenfield project finance. Mr. Pinto graduated from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds an MS in engineering from Northeastern University. Mr. Pinto is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Matthew G. Ginzberg
Title - Managing Director
Bio - Matthew G. Ginzberg joined Arroyo in 2015 and has 12 years of experience in the power and energy industries. Prior to Arroyo, Mr. Ginzberg worked in the Global Commodities Group of JP Morgan supporting its Principal Investments division. While employed there, Mr. Ginzberg worked alongside Arroyo’s Founding Partners with a particular emphasis on developing investment opportunities in Mexico and Chile. Previously at JP Morgan, Mr. Ginzberg had roles in the Securitized Products division where he had business development roles for the sales and marketing of student loan and credit card securitization products. Mr. Ginzberg graduated from The Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware with a BS in Finance along with minors in Economics, Management Information Systems together with significant course work in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Ginzberg has also spent time studying abroad at the University of South Australia and Beijing Normal University.

Samuel Warfield
Title - Principal
Bio - Samuel M. Warfield joined Arroyo in early 2016 and has nine years’ experience in the power and infrastructure sector. Mr. Warfield is responsible for the origination, negotiation and execution of asset acquisitions and divestitures in the U.S, as well as overseeing Arroyo’s U.S. portfolio. Prior to Arroyo, Mr. Warfield was a senior corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, where his practice focused on M&A transactions in the power and infrastructure sector. Mr. Warfield regularly represented private equity firms as well as public companies in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and investments. Mr. Warfield was recognized in 2015 as a “Rising Star” in M&A in the New York metro area by Super Lawyers magazine. Mr. Warfield also clerked at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in the Department of Investment Management in Washington D.C. Mr. Warfield received his Bachelor of Science in Finance magna cum laude from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Mr. Warfield is also a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame.

Robert Book
Title - Senior Associate
Bio - Robert Book, CFA joined Arroyo in 2015 and has four years of experience in the power and energy industries. Prior to Arroyo, Mr. Book worked in equity research at Calvert Investments where he efforted towards incorporating ESG factors into public company valuation. Mr. Book has a Masters of Science in Accounting and Bachelors of Science in Finance from American University. While at American University, Mr. Book served as Fund Manager for the Student Managed Investment Fund and was a Professor’s Assistant for several graduate-level finance courses. Mr. Book earned the CFA designation in 2016.

Carlos Tabernilla
Title - Associate
Bio - Carlos Tabernilla joined Arroyo in 2020. Prior to joining Arroyo, Mr. Tabernilla worked in the Corporate Planning department of Hydrozonix, LLC, a leader in water management services for E&P companies in the Permian Basin. Previously, Mr. Tabernilla worked at ASR group in its Global Sugars group focusing on commodity trading and risk management. Mr. Tabernilla holds a MBA from Fordham University and a BS in finance from Northwood University.

Jonathan Myers
Title - Associate
Bio - Jonathan Myers joined Arroyo in 2020. Prior to joining Arroyo, Mr. Myers worked in LNG project finance roles at Tellurian and Cheniere Energy supporting the financing of multiple LNG export facilities, as well in an investment management role at First Infrastructure Capital, a private equity fund focused on the midstream, power and telecom sectors. Mr. Myers began his career with UBS Investment Bank in their natural resources group, focusing primarily on the midstream energy sector. Mr. Myers received a B.A. in Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University.

Cameron Crain
Title - Analyst
Bio - Cameron Crain joined Arroyo in 2019. Prior to joining Arroyo, Mr. Crain worked at the Policy Resolution group where he focused on researching energy and environmental policy issues. Mr. Crain received a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in English and Spanish cum laude from Tulane University. While at Tulane University, Mr. Crain worked as a Research Assistant for a professor writing a book on Peruvian literature.

Preston Galatas
Title - Analyst
Bio - Preston Galatas joined Arroyo in 2020. Mr. Galatas joined Arroyo after working at UBS Asset Management as part of a Financial Analyst Development Program. In his role with UBS, Mr. Galatas focused on Infrastructure, Hedge Fund research, and Commercial Real Estate acquisitions. Mr. Galatas received a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University. While at Louisiana State University, Mr. Galatas worked as an Investments Intern for the Louisiana State Employees Retirement System.

Daniel J Ortiz
Title - Vice President – Technical Services
Bio - Dan is a Power Industry Executive with more than 35 years’ experience in the development, construction, commissioning, operation and optimization of power generations assets worldwide. Dan graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, has a US Coast Guard Chief Engineers license and is a Six Sigma Blackbelt. He has been involved in the construction, commissioning and operation of 5 GW of combined cycle projects worldwide in addition to 2 GW of wind projects in the Midwest of the USA. Having extensive experience with Microgrids, Island Mode and renewable energy moving into the battery energy storage space was a natural fit. He had a lead role in the development, construction and commissioning of the first BESS in Mexico, a 12 MW-12MWh BESS at the Pemcorp facility outside of Monterrey, Mexico.

Diego Gotthelf
Title - Chief Financial Officer
Bio - Diego Gotthelf joined Arroyo in 2016 and has 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream and power generation. Prior to Arroyo, Mr. Gotthelf worked as Director of Economics and Business Development of the Oil and Gas division at Kinder Morgan, and prior to that in various CFO roles for Shell Oil in Europe, the Americas, the Far East and Africa. Mr. Gotthelf has an International Baccalaureate from Buenos Aires University, a BA (hons) in Sustainable Performance Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, an MSc in from Skema University in Auditing, Management Accounting and Information Systems and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from the UK.

Stephanie Penn
Title - Finance Analyst
Bio - Stephanie Penn joined Arroyo in 2020. Prior to joining Arroyo, Ms. Penn interned at Bitkub Capital Group Holdings where she focused on researching and analyzing the tokenization of assets in power and energy industries. Ms. Penn received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Managerial Finance and Banking from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). While at Ole Miss, Ms. Penn was selected to serve as Fund Manager for the student-managed Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Fund and worked as a Finance Tutor for the university.

Kimberly Glasspool
Title - General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer
Bio - Kimberly Glasspool joined Arroyo in 2019 and has twelve years’ experience in the power and infrastructure sector. Ms. Glasspool serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Arroyo. Prior to Arroyo, Ms. Glasspool was Managing Counsel at Cheniere Energy in Houston for 4 years, where she advised on the development, construction, financing and operation of liquefaction, terminalling and pipeline projects in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Prior to Cheniere Energy, Ms. Glasspool was an attorney with Bracewell LLP where she represented private equity firms as well as public companies in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and investments in the energy infrastructure space. Ms. Glasspool received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science summa cum laude from Louisiana State University and her Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University.

Kerri Quinn
Title - Director, External Relations
Bio - Kerri Quinn joined Arroyo in 2017. Mrs. Quinn is responsible for managing Arroyo’s Investor and External Relations. Prior to Arroyo, Mrs. Quinn worked in Private Banking and Commercial Lending at Woodforest National Bank where she served as relationship manager and actively managed a loan portfolio comprised of real estate and land development financing. Mrs. Quinn has nearly ten years of experience, including administrative and managerial positions and holds a BA in Business from University of Houston.

Nikki Della Pesca
Title - Office Manager
Bio - Nikki Della Pesca joined Arroyo in 2019. Mrs. Della Pesca is responsible for managing the day to day operations and facilities at the corporate office. Prior to working at Arroyo, Mrs. Della Pesca worked as an Operations Manager for a computer software company, taking it from start up all the way through acquisition. Mrs. Della Pesca has 20 years of experience leading operations in commercial construction, oil and gas, and technology. Mrs. Della Pesca holds a BA in Liberal Arts from The University of Texas, Austin.
